A buying-intelligence briefing for overseas buyers

The most honest reviews in the world are written in Chinese.

Hundreds of millions of verified buyers rate what they actually bought on JD.com — ratings, sell-through volume, and brutal one-star complaints that never reach an English listing. PandaGem captures that signal behind the language wall and translates it into facts. Never opinions.

You're viewing the United Kingdom edition. Prices, availability and channels will be localised here as data lands.

02How the wall works

Step 01 — The source

China rates everything

On JD.com — China's largest first-party retailer — hundreds of millions of verified buyers leave ratings, praise tags and one-star reviews, sealed behind Chinese language and logins.

Step 02 — The capture

We read it logged-in

Manual, logged-in browsing — the same view a Chinese buyer gets. We record rating distributions, sell-through volume, praise-tag counts and the full one-star tail. Every number carries a capture date and a source.

Step 03 — The translation

Facts, not takes

We translate what the data says — never what we think. If 200 of 200,000 ratings are negative, you read exactly what they complain about. No star scores of our own, no “editor's choice”, no sponsored rankings.

Translated from the 1★ tail · Dongcheng 710W · JD.com · 2026-06

“Worked a few times, dead within weeks.”

One of ~200 negative ratings against 50,000+ positive — a real failure-rate signal no English listing will ever show you.

If the data can't prove it, we don't print it.

R1

Every number is observed, never estimated — captured logged-in from JD.com, dated, and sourced.

R2

The negative tail is always shown. A 98% rating means little until you read the other 2%.

R3

No sponsored rankings, no affiliate bias. If a link ever pays us, it says so — the data never moves.
